Ethics, more or less.
I’ve been seeing a lot of posts about how you really shouldn’t buy anything from Silk because they’re owned by White Wave which is a now a subsidiary of Dean Foods, the largest factory farmed dairy distributor in the United States. Now, morally, THIS FUCKING BLOWS.
However, after really thinking about it, this brings up a very important thing that is such a grey area within the vegan community, and it’s about the companies we choose to “support” and the ethics we carry.
As well all (hopefully) know, smoking isn’t vegan because of animal testing, yet, many vegans still smoke. Yes, even American Spirits.
Boca is owned by Kraft foods.
Remember when Chick-Fil-A announced they supported an anti-gay foundation? Well, TOMS (shoes) supports that same foundation that does NOT want Gay Marriage legalized.
So, honestly, everyone and everything sucks. Do what you want to do, in the end you’re going to support some shitty corporation unless you live in a Shire with hobbits.

And, you have to buy your food somewhere, be it Wal Mart or Whole Foods or whatever, and they sell non-vegan food as well. You can’t get away from it all.
